Life Outside of Work

As a project-oriented person, I'm often busy with creative home improvements or, as my husband Kevin says "making work for myself." The bottom line is I'm relaxed when doing so, and it makes me happy.

A spirited, caring individual, I enjoy being involved in my local community.

•  I've worked full-time yet managed to help with activities my two boys are involved in.  But, this fall I'll become    an empty nester as my youngest will be a freshman at Colorado School of Mines, while the other is entering      his senior year at CU-Boulder.

•  Using social media, I'm an effective evangelist for local happenings, encouraging support and participation

for things such as the CHS Safe After Prom dinner out fundraisers, Precious Child's Sports Equipment

Donation Drive and Holiday Gift program, and high school sports.

•  I genuinely enjoy kids, including building their self-esteem, so during a couple of job breaks (due to RIFs), my    side hustle was nannying.  During the pandemic, I created a private Facebook 80026/80027 group that now

has 2500+ parents and kid caregivers connecting. In 2024, I passed the baton where others now manage the

   group.

For downtime, I'm either hiking with our golden retrievers, playing pickleball, doing a creative project, or watching a movie. I enjoy traveling, biking, and spending time with friends..

To relieve stress, I'm a life-long group-exercise-class participant, pushing myself much harder in this setting.
